Turning Sephora Pharmacy into a Local Clinic
We are extending the Sephora pharmacy into a full clinic. This faith-based medical resource is currently serving the local community by providing free, vitally needed medication to combat disease and infection from common illnesses. If we were able to augment the pharmacy into a full clinic, many more services could be rendered and the local community would be greatly blessed.
Blaise’s own mother tragically died several years ago because she was unable to get simple medication that would be common and easily obtained in many other countries. The preventable death of his mother inspired Blaise to ensure that others would not meet the same tragic end. Thus, Sephora pharmacy was born. Currently, all medicines are funded by Blaise and Mireille out of their own pockets. The goal of this project would be to raise money to sustain proper supplies of medicine, start to hire more health-care workers to provide wider care, and establish Sephora pharmacy as a clinic. After that, the Masinga foundation wants to spread clinics like Sephora to other parts of the DRC, like in Kikwit, where Blaise is from originally.
