Providing local aid and education now for a better Congo tomorrow.

“Go and do likewise.”

The story of The Good Samaritan (Luke 10:30-37) gives us a clear picture of God’s desire for us to help those in desperate need wherever we find them. After describing how the Samaritan rescued a hurting man. Jesus told his audience, “Go and do likewise.” At the Masinga Foundation, we aim to do likewise in two ways - medical aid and mentorship. These two prongs are not accidents—they are specifically chosen because of the way God has shaped the life of our founder, Blaise Masinga through both trials and good Samaritans. Medicine for Those Without

First, we provide local Congolese with medicine. In Congo, a lack of basic medicine means that, in too many cases, an ailment that would otherwise be of little concern is now life-threatening. Beyond physical medicine, counseling services for survivors of violence and torture are needed, as both are too common a reality in Congo.

Education to Make a Living

Second, we want to mentor select promising Congolese youth to continue their education. In Congo, education is not universal, and is too expensive for most families beyond a certain level. As a result, youth grow up unequipped to find employment that can sustain them or their family. Poverty is the result. On the other side of the equation, there is a lack of skilled workers in a variety of fields, which has resulted in a lowered quality of life for everyone.
